If you haven't figured it out already, James grew up in punk and hardcore. His roots as a rowdy, rewilding anarchist, and deep thinker originate there. JVL played in several punk and hardcore bands and toured North America intermittently for several years. Rally the Fray was James's music project from the 2000s. His lyrics explored the themes of ecological collapse, human adaptation, primitivism, and feral resistance. Check out the albums below.
